About the Practice
Mountain Acupuncture Waiting Room

Massage was my introduction to the health care field. I began treating chronic pain patients in pain clinics in Colorado Springs, then at St. Alphonsus Hospital when I moved back to Boise. At this time I also was employed at St. Luke's Hospital doing therapeutic massage in the out-patient physical therapy unit.

I opened my acupuncture practice in Boise in 1995 after graduating with a Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from Emperor's College in Santa Monica, California. I am licensed by the state of Idaho and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in both acupuncture and Chinese herbs. In 2000 and 2008 I received training in the treatment of neurological disorders, including stroke, at Hospital Number 2 Nanjing, China.

I have found the combination of massage and acupuncture to be very effective in the treatment of both acute pain and chronic pain for conditions such as headache, muscle injury, back and neck pain, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, and sciatica.

Mountain Acupuncture Waiting Room My herbal pharmacy at Mountain Acupuncture contains over 400 Chinese herbs and supplements in the form of freeze dried granules, patent formulas capsules and liquid extracts and have proved to be an invaluable modality to help restore the body's health.

My goal is to help each client regain balance and harmony in body and mind which in turn restores a healthy quality of life. During this process I find that my clients become more aware of and take more responsibility for their bodies.
